Portable and travel Starlink in Iran

Travel Starlink in Iran means taking the kit with you and turning it on at the next stop, with a clear view of the sky. Two packs do that job and both cost $249: Starlink Mini for daily use and an apartment, and the Travel Kit, which is the same Mini hardware with a pipe adapter and a temporary-mount layout. Travel inside Iran does not need a separate subscription. A maritime kit is not for sale, and this page is not a substitute for one.

The connection subscription is free across Iran; no subscription payment is needed to use the equipment in Iran. Monthly plans are only needed for use outside Iran.

How travel inside Iran differs from buying Mini

Mini or the Travel Kit

The dish hardware is the same and both cost $249. Mini is packed for one or two people and an apartment. The Travel Kit adds the pipe adapter and the temporary-mount layout, and it is the clearer pick for the road and a villa. If you do both, read the comparison and buy one kit, not both.

A stop, not motion without a mount

This page is about a stop: the roadside, a villa yard, a project roof, on the kickstand with open sky. In-motion use on a vehicle needs a dedicated vehicle mount from accessories. That mount is not in the Travel Kit box.

Power at the stop

The Travel Kit can also run from vehicle power or USB-C PD, as the kit page already states. This guide does not invent a battery capacity or hours on a power bank, because that figure is not on the kit card.

The sea, and leaving Iran

A maritime kit is not for sale. Land travel inside Iran uses the free connection subscription. If you power the same kit on outside Iran, a monthly roam plan is required. Its price is on the monthly service page.

    A villa and the road: Travel Kit at $249. An apartment in the city and the occasional trunk: Mini at $249. Several devices at a temporary site: Mini X at $299.

  2. 2. Pick a stop with open sky

    Dense trees, a covered parking spot, and a narrow valley are not places to power on. The Starlink app shows obstructions at that spot.

  3. 3. Do not treat the kickstand as an in-motion mount

    The kickstand is for a flat surface while you are stopped. Driving needs a separate mount.

  4. 4. Do not turn travel inside Iran into a monthly plan

    Do not add a monthly plan for use inside Iran. After the terminal is on, submit the serial on order tracking.
